Happy 3rd Birthday, Pickle!

Yesterday we had a Thomas party for Dillon! It was such a good time! My parents, my brother and Jeremy & Heather came over for it. We had hot ham & cheese sandwiches, mac & cheese, fruit, veggies and cake & ice cream! Dillon was really happy and we could tell he felt special :) Uncle Jamie being silly!

Dillon opened his Thomas ride-on car first. He was sooooo excited. Once Anson got it out of the box, he jumped on it and said "bye bye" as he rode off into the kitchen. It was classic!

Uncle Jeremy and Heather got Dillon this Tonka dump truck! It'll be perfect for the sand box. Mimi and Grandpa got his a similar Front Loader truck. There's a video of him opening that below. He loves them both.

Poor little boy. He had such an exhausting day. He fell asleep in his bed around 5:00.

Tomorrow is Dillon's actual birthday, and we are going out to dinner with Nana and Papa. On Thursday, Dillon has his 3-year check-up. I'll try to post again this weekend with his stats from his doctor's visit.

Dillon is starting to play by himself more and more. When he's playing with his cars, he makes them talk to each other. It's so cute. One of the cutest things he said to me the other day was "do me a favor, Mom." He definitely is talking well and using complete sentences. His behavior has seemed to improve as his vocabulary has grown.
