Uniontown Parade & Festival

This past weekend, Lily was in the Uniontown Parade and Festival for her tap and ballet class. She rode on a float and performed both of her dances. We had a great time watching her! Plus the kids had fun at the festival. Here are some photos and videos from our day!

Waiting for the parade to start

Jamie and his girlfriend, Ann, helping Dillon gather some candy

Wearing "Uncle Mimi's" sunglasses! He can say "Jamie" just fine, but when you ask him to put Uncle in front of it, it becomes "Uncle Mimi." Don't ask!?!

Big girl Lily riding on the float!

After the parade, my parents came back to our house for a cook-out. Then we headed over to the festival. Lily performed both her tap and ballet dances on a stage in a tent.

Waiting for the show to start

Getting a pep talk from Mary Lyn before the show

Dillon was a good boy. It's hard to sit still for such a long time!

Ready to perform!

Tap Dance

Ready to perform

Ballet Dance

There was a trailer set up so that the girls could change in between dances. Then we changed Lily into regular clothes and let her and Dillon ride a few rides.

Getting on the mini Ferris wheel

Dillon was scared at first.

Lily took good care of him. She's so sweet hugging him.

And before we knew it, Dillon was smiling and having fun too!

He still looked a little nervous, though!

Then they went on the merry-go-round with Daddy!

And last but not least, they rode the dragon roller coaster!

Wheeeeeee!!!

They ate Cotton Candy!
They played a fishing game!

They won prizes!

It was a really fun day and evening! The kids were worn out by the time we got home. We are looking forward to taking them to the Randolph Fair next weekend when Mimi and Grandpa come to visit!
